That’s why Earth Day isn’t just a single day on the calendar for us; it’s a constant reminder of the importance of sustainable practices. This year, we’ve taken action and got our hands dirty (in the best way possible) at several fantastic events:
Piedmont Park Cleanup:  We organized a team to pick up trash at one of Atlanta’s most gorgeous parks. It’s a place that’s given us so much with its beauty that we wanted to give back by helping keep it tidy. It’s great to remember that a few hours of dedicated effort can make a big difference in our community.Â
Protecting Our Waterways: The Chattahoochee is one of Georgia’s most beautiful rivers, but because of its proximity to the city, it suffers from a lot of pollution. That’s why we participated in this year’s “Sweep the Hooch” volunteer event. The cleanup site we helped on pulled out 1,530 lbs. of trash, 380 lbs. of recycling, and 5 tires!
Planting for the Future: Â Digital Additive joined bee keepers from local company Bee Downtown to learn about the importance of native pollinators and the best flowers to attract them. We even got to pot up some native wildflower seeds to take home. Every step counts when it comes to ensuring a healthy and diverse ecosystem for our local pollinators.
These are just a few ways we’re putting our values into action. We also try to be cognizant of our waste and energy usage at the office. Our hybrid work environment and remote-friendly accommodations have significantly cut our carbon footprint. Plus, we love seeing our reusable DA water bottles out in the wild!
