In May of 2012, Digital Additive was formed starting with just three full-time employees and no permanent office space, we’ve now grown to 50 full-time employees on three continents, four different time zones and a whole lot of one-to-one communication.
So let’s get nostalgic for a bit and look back at the history of the past decade of DA.
We’ve celebrated wins at AIMA, gone to Connections (when they were still called Exacttarget) and celebrated the first anniversary of the agency with a bit of bubbly.
Found the office, where we’re currently headquartered, in the Zonolite community, and of course had to toast to that! It’s amazing to see the transformation from day one…
The first office pup, Luna, was introduced to the family, and holidays that weren’t officially holidays were celebrated — mostly for an excuse to have cupcakes and movie days. DA returned to Connections as the event continued to grow.
After the first few years, more people were hired and things started to grow real fast! Anniversaries and birthdays were celebrated (though birthdays were a bit more popular due to some sweet treats…noticing a trend here?)
We were never one to pass up celebrating a holiday thanks to an amazing Events Committee that always made sure we had an opportunity to spend time and have fun together.
Even far from our home base in Atlanta, out-of-state client meetings offered us another great opportunity to spend time together in exciting places and really get to know our partners face to face and understand their world.
Whether team building or giving back to the community, DA folks love to get together and have a great time.
Simpy put, there’s never really a dull moment at DA — we’re always up to something from cookouts and wellness efforts to keeping up with the World Cup or copious pup snuggles.
But the real reason we’re able to celebrate is because of how we work smart and collaboratively. And, somehow, we even manage to make big meetings a good time. (Think: cute dogs, lots of food, sticky notes galore.)
And we couldn’t officially recap the past 10 years without recognizing one of the most polarizing but enjoyed event in Digital Additive’s history…Field Day 2019. Four teams competed in various school-era games and, though an official winner was declared, the results are still hotly contested to this day.
Even with the past few years of everyone working remote full-time, we’ve managed to do great work and still have fun virtual events to feel connected! And the DA swag got to enjoy some nice outdoor time too!
It’s been an amazing 10 years. Thanks for taking this trip down memory lane with us. Here’s to the next 10 and all the exciting opportunities they will bring!
