When you use our services, you’re trusting us with your information. We understand this is a big responsibility and work hard to protect your information and put you in control.

At Digital Additive, data is central to everything we do and we know and understand the value associated with it. When you share your information with Digital Additive we want you to know and understand why we’re asking for that data, what we will do with it and how sharing your data with us will also benefit you. Digital Additive will keep your data private and store it securely, using it only in the ways we have told you. This Privacy Policy will provide more information on when and why we collect your data, how we use it, and the limited instances of when we might share or disclose it to others, while keeping your data secure.

Types of data we collect

Log files

We gather certain information automatically via server and application log files. This collected information may include your IP address, device and application identifying numbers, your location, your browser type, your internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, the pages and files you viewed, your searches, your operating system and system configuration information, and date/time stamps associated with your usage. We use this information to analyze overall trends, to help us provide and improve our websites and to guarantee their security and continued proper functioning.

Cookies

At Digital Additive, we, along with some partners that provide content or functionality on our website, use cookies as part of the website. A cookie is “a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is browsing.” You can learn more about cookies on http://www.allaboutcookies.org/. On our website we use as few cookies as possible. Cookies are used by third party services on our site including Google Analytics and Vimeo. The cookies allow us to recognize your device across different websites, services, devices, and web browsing sessions. By storing such information, cookies can, among other things, allow our website to remember your preferences and settings for the website and help us to analyze how you use the website.

Advertising or targeting cookies may be set by third parties to facilitate the delivery of targeted advertising, including through the delivery of interest-based advertising, and helping us measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. Required cookies are essential to the proper function of the website and so there is no option to opt out.

Google Analytics

At Digital Additive we use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about the use of our website (e.g., Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the website, what pages they visit, when they visit, and the website they used prior to coming to our website). Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date that you visit the website along with information about your web browser and the device used to visit the website, but not your name or other identifying information that you may provide through a form on the website. The information collected through the use of Google Analytics is not combined with any personal information you may have provided to Digital Additive. You can learn more about how Google Analytics collects and processes data and opt-out options at http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

Mailing lists you may join

On our website we provide means for users to sign up to receive communications from Digital Additive such as email newsletters, product information, or to request we contact them directly.

We use FreshAddress — “an email hygiene service provider” — to validate the submitted email address. We partner with Salesforce to store that information and we use the Salesforce Marketing Cloud to send emails. We use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to track delivery rates, opens and clicks of our emails to see what content is being engaged with and to help us improve the quality of our email communications. You can always opt out of receiving these emails from within the email itself. If for any other reason you wish to have your personal data deleted, please contact us at [email protected].

Data Retention, Deletion, and Security

We take your data privacy seriously and only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. After this period, your personal data will be irreversibly destroyed. Any personal data held by us for marketing and service update notifications will be kept by us until such time that you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information. If for any other reason you wish to have your personal data deleted, please contact us at [email protected].

At Digital Additive, access to any personal information or PII is strictly limited to authorized personnel and systems that require this data to perform their duties. Any staff that may interact with said sensitive data are trained on secure PII handling, and all systems that may handle sensitive data have thorough access controls implemented and are subject to periodic audits to ensure the data’s security.
